Summer Leagues
WLPC will be hosting leagues this summer Monday-Thursday evenings from 6-8pm. Each league will be 6 weeks long with space for 24 players and 5 subs. League cost will be $10 for WLPC members who will be able to sign up a week earlier than the public and $15 for non members. There is a $5 admin fee applied to each league for the software program we use so each league’s total cost to each player will be $15 or $20. There is a 2 week break between sessions. The 1st week of July will be for any needed makeup games due to weather.
Session 1
May 20th – June 30th Starts on Tuesday May 20th runs through Monday June 30th
Session 2
July 14th- Aug. 21st
Session 1
Monday: Women’s Rotating partner League 6-8 pm
Tuesday: Co-Ed Set Partner League 6-8 pm
Wednesday: Men’s Rotating partner League 6-8 pm
Thursday: 4.0+ League Rotating Partner (minimum 3.75 Dupr)
Men’s and Women’s League: For all levels but usually filled with people from 2.5-3.9. It’s a great place for people that know all the rules and what the basic shots are to practice their skills and meet other people that love Pickleball. The shuffling of courts the first week for placement puts you in the court closest to people of your skill level. Each week following, you will play 6 games with your foursome, partnering with each player twice. The 2 highest scoring players of each court move up a court and the 2 lowest move down a court each week. It makes for fun, competitive games with players of similar level. We will have a list of people willing to sub for when regular players must miss a game.
Co-ed League: For all levels but recommended for 3.25+ and up and for those comfortable playing with both men and women. Suggested levels 3.25-4.5 (Note: those at 3.75 and above will potentially hit at full speed.) This will be co-ed Set Partner. If one of the team members can’t make it, these people will find their own substitute.
4.0+ League for advanced players: Co-ed but not divided by one man/one woman teams. These people will have drops down as well as top spin, back spin, lobs, overheads, dinking, pace change – not perfect, but at least working on and actively utilizing these shots often. Speed of play can be 100%. To join this league you need a 3.75 DUPR rating. If you are very close or do not have a DUPR but feel this is the right league for you, feel free to join. The shuffling the first week should place you on the right court.
DUPR Scores: Each league player will sign up for a DUPR account and link it to their swish league account. I will have written detailed instructions on how to do this the first week of league and will be happy to help anyone that needs it. Once done, the results of league matches will automatically be sent to DUPR. If you have wondered what your rating is, this will get you one. Additionally, Ken Smith is able to rate players using the USA Pickleball skill assessment for 3.0-4.0. Contact Ken Smith if you would like to do this.

Drills and Clinics
WLPC will be holding drills and/or clinics most Friday mornings for an hour before open play starts for our members. We will be using the Swish sports app for sign ups for these. Download the Swish Sports App to your phone and search for the Whitehall Pickleball group. This is our general group. Once members have paid their dues, they will receive an invite to the drills/clinics group. If you are interested in attending these, accept the group invite and you will get notifications when a clinic/drill is happening. If you have no interest in these, just decline the invite.
